What could be wrong with this litter of piglets???

We had a litter of 10 piglets about a week ago that the mother stopped feeding about 7-8 hours after birth. We left them with her for several more hours but she just continued to have nothing to do with them. We took them out and got them started on pig milk replacer and baby oatmeal. We have them in a box with a heat lamp. They seemed fine and were eating well. They seemed to be a typical litter of nice looking piglets, some a little larger, some a little smaller, but none seamed sickly in any way. Then suddenly they started dying. They would be perfectly fine at one feeding, pushing and shoving and eating as aggressively as always and at the next feeding we would find a dead piglet. We have lost 9 out of the 10 that she had. They don't show any signs of distress, or injury, or sickness. I am at a total loss as to what to do or think, Any advice?

Have seen some thing like this before with clostridial perfringes were piglets would suddenly die. Would say they lack immunity against some thing like this, which is why they suddenly died. Try your last piglet with a small shot of penicillin and see if it stays OK. Answer may have be to jab all your pigs at 1 day old with penicillin???? What ever it was it would be an immune problem against some thing???
