Slaughtering a pregnant gilt

We have three meat pigs, one castrated male and two female. Problem is we also have two breeding gilts and a boar. Well needless to say the boar got both of our female gilts.....Now my question is this.....What is the danger of slaughtering them if they are pregnant? They will probably be ready for slaughter around the end of April and if they are pregnant, then they will be maybe 6 weeks....Is that a problem and will there be a difference in the taste of the meat?

Please advise......thank you.

Hi there, you won't be the first to cull pregnant stock and should make much difference to the meat. At 6 weeks the embryo's are still fairly small, so should be OK.
