I have parity 4 sows with large udder edemas. Uses needle and syringe and drew out a bloody fluid with no odour. From vets who I have asked they have said trauma to the udder but it makes no sense why only is parity 4 sows. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Udder edemas can come from getting to much energy , in other words from getting to much feed. usually if a sow has an edema she is overweight. Also if a sow has a edema on this parity it doesn't mean she will have one on the next one
