I am a writer. I need to know whether a pig's skin around the shoulders is generally tough enough to stop a snake from sinking its fangs into it.

Thank you in advance for any answers to this question

Adult large white boar bitten once on the right shoulder by a puff adder, he was stone dead when I found him, that was 1974, that is the only confirmed snakebite I have witnessed.
    All the best, Rhodie.

The trick is to calm down the pig long enough for you to suck the posion out!
